It was our honor to be a part of making Daniel and Kayla’s Charlotte Hornets themed wedding day a dream come true. The bride and groom’s destination marriage celebration took place at Sweet Magnolia Estate in Cornelius, NC, a beautiful setting fit just right for the newlyweds and their guests.
We provided wedding DJ services for these two lovebirds during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. Their shiny, vibrant personalities sparkled throughout their wedding day not only in spirit but also in true love!

Details & Planning
Although Kayla and Daniel resides in California, the North Carolinians chose to have their themed destination wedding in their home state of NC. Booking our DJ services a year in advance of their wedding day gave us a ample time to experience the creative process and thoughts behind their dream wedding firsthand.
Accents of Charlotte Hornets teal and dark purple decor with a hue of matching colorful DJ uplighting tastefully weaved throughout the day of nuptials, evoking pure joy from the revelers throughout the evening. In addition, Bojangles, Krispy Kreme, and Carolina Panthers paraphernalia topped off the celebration of being home.
The Ceremony
Song Johns of Blooming Dreams Photo captured all the festivities from the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, to the reception. Song’s awesome still shots showcased the fun essence of the newlyweds and their family and friends awesome dance party throughout the entire day of matrimony. Daniel Schmitt of Ladybug Videography created the memorable, in-motion shots of the bride and groom’s special moments as they enjoy their BIG DAY with family, friends and guests.
It Was So Much Fun!
Wedding Planner, Victoria Stallings of Wild Daisy Events brought so many awesome vendors together to help match Kayla & Daniel’s vision of their dream wedding. To add to the fun during the wedding reception, the couple also had a bouncy house where they “got their jump on” for some candid shots before the guests joined in!
The Reception
Daniel and Kayla’s Charlotte Hornets style grand entrance was a hit! To kick off the evening festivities, the newlyweds bounced right into their first dance as husband and wife. Love Never Felt So Good – Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake created the perfect chemistry on the dance floor. Photographer, Song Johns got a beautiful shot of the couple gazing into each other’s eyes as they serenaded each other.
We can’t forget that awesome moment when Daniel and his mother blew away the audience by performing a choreographed dance routine to Apache (Jump On It) by the Sugar Hill Gang!
Following the first dances, the guests enjoyed a plated meal provided by Chef Tyler Phillips. Drinks were provided throughout the evening by Randi Crane and Jake Hillyer of Bartenders Plus.
The Entertainment
Starting with the entertainment, DJ Creativity of Boss Playa Productions rocked the house, spinning the night away with the most popular dance tracks. With his flawless transitions, DJ Creativity mixed old-school tunes with new-school hits that kept Kayla & Daniel and their guests entertained on the dancefloor thoughout the entire evening!

As their special day of celebrating their first day of marriage came to an end, the newlyweds enjoyed a sparkling exit with huge smiles on their faces. Our best wishes and blessings to Kayla & Daniel that they live happily ever after!
