Who We Are

Boss Playa Productions was launched as a business in 2003 by Founder and CEO Antonio Jones, “aka” DJ Creativity. Since then, our company has established a new standard in the area for distinctive service with a guarantee that was previously unheard of. The business spread mainly through word of mouth, and as more satisfied customers shared their stories with others, additional events and services were added. Boss Playa Productions Mobile DJ Service has  booked events from elegant wedding receptions, school dances and corporate functions, to sweet 16 birthday and 70’s – 80’s theme private parties.

Founder and CEO, Antonio Jones, has performed on Power 98 FM’s nighttime mix show, “The Session”, at ten o’clock with Eddie Owens.  He has also  participated in a DJ Competition hosted by Mars Music and sponsored by Gemini, where he took fourth place out of fifteen competitors. Later he took first place out of eighteen competitors in a DJ competition at Willies Records, hosted by Def Jam Records and judged by The World Famous DJ Clue.

In his words, "Receiving an award from a well renowned DJ celebrity like DJ Clue was such a feeling of a desired dream accomplished but my ultimate experience was seeing the phone lines constantly light up every time I performed on the radio. That experience was the best feeling of my career because the listeners were so pleased by the music and style of mixing I was providing for them. My most memorable moment is when a listener told Eddie Owens not to hang up on her yet because she wanted to say that "DJ Creativity is definitely ripping it up tonight."

ATTIRE ~ You can count on our staff to always dress appropriately; suit or Tuxedo for any formal event such as a wedding, etc.

EMCEE (M.C.) STYLE ~ We are available to Emcee at an extra cost of $50.00. We will work accordingly with the Host/Hostess to gather all required information needed to present the wedding party with the best edification possible. We will also make necessary announcements during the event.

EQUIPMENT ~ Virtual Vinyl DJ software for mp3 music and video, Technic 1200 Turntables for vinyl records, Vestax Mixer, Technical Pro professional sound system, wireless microphone, nightclub scene & strobe light show, fog machine to be used wherever available due to building codes and restrictions.

DANCE FLOOR LIGHTING ~ Tasteful yet dynamic LED dance floor lighting in sync with the music creates a festive atmosphere and motivates your guests to dance. The lights our DJs use creates lighting effects seen at trendy clubs. This versatile multi-effect light show is matched to the style of music being played and the size of the facility. It is guaranteed to energize your reception or party. There are separate lighting effects for fast and slow dances.

INTERACTIVITY ~  When it comes to providing music, we have been blessed with the ability to read the crowd. We are not too shy to get on the microphone and motivate everyone to get on the dance floor because it's time to get the party started!  We like to play a participation song or a hit song that will bring the crowd to the dance floor. From there we just keep playing the hit songs and requests.
